Current Position and Past Experience
Angie Besendorfer is the Chancellor of WGU Missouri.

Prior to this, Besendorfer served as the Assistant Superintendent of Joplin Schools and as the Superintendent of Reeds Spring School District. Besendorfer also worked as an Elementary Principal, Director of Special Services, Teacher and professional development consultant.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Besendorfer received her Bachelor of Science from Missouri Southern State University in 1990. She completed her Masters in Educational Administration in 2000 at Central Missouri State University. In 2007, she finished her Ed.D. in Educational Administration at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Besendorfer was recognized as one of the Tri-State Business Journal Most Influential Woman in 2010. She also received the National Milken Educator Award, presented by the Milken Family Foundation in 1996.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
In her free time, Besendorfer enjoys spending time with her family and friends. They like to go to the lake or beach. Shopping with her two teenage daughters is another fun way to spend time. She also enjoys cooking and baking for friends and family and antiquing.
