Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2005, Amy Wartham has been the Director of Corporate and Custom Training at UNC Charlotte. She has been at the University since 1999, serving her first two years as an Academic Advisor at the Belk College of Business before spending four years as a Lecturer in the Belk College’s Management Department.

From 1993-2000, Wartham was a part-time Marketing and Management Instructor at Central Piedmont Community College, during which time she worked as a Merchandise Purchasing Manager at Paramount Parks Inc.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Wartham earned her BS in Business Administration and Marketing from Winthrop University in 1990. In 1992 she earned her MBA in Marketing from the same institution. She has also earned a Learning and Development Certificate from UNC Charlotte.

Wartham earned the 2008 Movers and Shakers Award from the Charlotte Business Leader Magazine. In 2009, she earned the magazine’s Woman Extraordinaire Award. In 2010, she was named one of Charlotte’s 50 Most Influential Women by The Mecklenburg Times.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Wartham is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development and Education Committee, the Charlotte Chapter of American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and University Continuing Education Association (UCEA).
