Current Position and Past Experience
Vickie Cook is currently Vice Chancellor for Enrollment & Retention Management at the University of Illinois Springfield. Prior, she was Executive Director of Online, Professional and Engaged Learning. Previously she was also Interim Department Chair of Educational Leadership and Teacher Education. She was also the Director of the Center for Online Learning, Research and Service at the University of Illinois Springfield. She has held this position since 2013.

Prior to the University of Illinois, Cook was the Associate Vice President of Innovation and Technology at Greenville College. She has also served as the Dean/Director of Online Learning of Greenville College’s School of Education, as an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield, and as the Dean of Continuing Education and University Alliance at Kaskaskia College.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Cook completed her BA at Western Illinois University in 1996. In 1999, she earned her MA at Capella University. She received her Teaching Certificate for English as a Second Language from Winfield College in 1999. In 2004, she earned her PhD in Higher Educational Administration from Capella University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
For almost 20 years, Cook has volunteered with Niños de Mexico to help organize professional development for teachers.
