Current Position and Past Experience
Robert Wensveen is the Director of Business Operations at University of Calgary Continuing Education, responsible for student registration and information systems, program coordination, financial and enrolment reporting, as well as staff, teaching and eLearning infrastructure. Previous roles held by Robert include Program Director, Team Leader and Information Systems Manager. Robert has taught within corporate and post-secondary environments, performed instructional design, built and developed client-service teams to support and provide student and staff services. Robert is an active member in The Canadian Association of University Continuing Education which supports its members to expand the scope and quality of educational opportunities for adults at the university level. Robert served as the association President (2013-14), and also held positions as Chair, Communications & Publications Committee, and Western Representative.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate degree (1996) with concentration in management of information systems, a Master of Education (2004) with concentration in educational technologies, and a Doctor of Education (2019) with concentration in educational leadership in post-secondary contexts. Robert also holds a certificate in University and College Administration (2012), a certificate in University Leadership (2014), and is a Certified Advance Technology Manager (2000). Research interests include the application of virtual reality and simulation technologies in workplace education, and the application of ePortfolios to enhance employment opportunities for recent graduates. Personal Details and Community Involvement
As an active member of his community, Robert served as President of the Saint Mary’s Music Foundation (2013-15), providing support for the instrumental and choral programs at St. Mary’s High School. Robert also served as Fundraising Coordinator with the St. Michal school executive committee (2012-13) and a member of Parent Council (2011-13). Robert is a drummer/percussionist, volunteering with the St. Michaels Catholic community music ministry (1997–present).
