Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2012, Liz Derrough has been a Campus Director with InsideTrack, where she manages a team of Coaches working to support Community College students in progressing successfully toward graduation. Additionally, she provides internal trainings geared toward predicting student behavior to tailor coaching for strategic impact as well as building trust and increasing opportunities for progress of first generation and low income students.
Derrough has been with InsideTrack since 2007; serving as an Associate Campus Director, Senior Coach and Coach before taking on her current role. Derrough has previously held positions with a number of elementary and secondary schools, worked as a group leader and public relations manager for Girls Incorporated of Northwest Oregon, and spent time working with NBC News as a production assistant at an number of presidential election events.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Derrough graduated Phi Beta Kappa with BA in Psychology from Lewis and Clark College in 1998. She earned her school counseling credential in 2003 and is currently working toward earning her MA in General Counseling from St. Mary’s College of California.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Derrough’s passion is in supporting lower income and first generation students in building the confidence and skill they need to be successful in college and in the future workforce. She has attended Donna Beegle’s “Poverty Institute” and currently is a volunteer Specialty Navigator supporting a local Portland
“Opportunity Community”.
