Katrina Rogers | President, Fielding Graduate University

Current Position and Past Experience
Katrina Rogers is the President of Fielding Graduate University, a position she has held since 2013. She began her time at Fielding in 2005 first as the Associate Dean for Fielding and Director of the Institute for Social Innovation and in 2011 moved into the role of Provost and Senior Vice President.

Rogers joined Fielding Graduate University from The Arboretum at Flagstaff, a 200-acre arboretum that is home to 2,500 native species of plants, where she served as Vice President.

Before this, Rogers was the Senior Director of the Grand Canyon Trust, an organization dedicated to protecting the Colorado Plateau.

Prior to her work in the not-for-profit industry, Rogers was an Assistant Professor and Director of the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Geneva, Switzerland.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Rogers received her BA in History from Albertus Magnus College and she studied medieval history at the University of Tübingen. Rogers earned her PhD in Political Science from Northern Arizona University.

From 1988 – 1990 she was a Fulbright Scholar in History. She is also a recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation scholarship, a post-doctoral fellowship, where she taught global environmental politics at the University of Konstanz, Germany.

Rogers was awarded with Outstanding Honors – Professor from Northern Arizona University. She also won the Leadership Award, Business and Environment Symposium, from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Rogers is an advocate for environmental and social justice issues. She has served on a number of committees and worked with international organizations such as the Red Cross, the World Trade Organization and the European Union.

She led conservation projects in rural communities, lobbied Congress for stronger environmental legislation, and raised more than $20 million in grants and donations for conservation efforts throughout the country.
