Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2012, Joel Rosenblatt has been the Director of the Computer and Network Security group at Columbia University, part of the Columbia Information Security Office. This followed 11 years as the Manager of Computer and Network Security with Columbia’s Information Security Office. Prior to this, Rosenblatt spent 24 years as the Manager of Virtual Machine and Personal Computing Systems at Columbia.

Rosenblatt earned his BS in Engineering from Columbia University in 1977.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Rosenblatt currently serves as the Chair of the Security Metrics Working Group at EDUCAUSE, a position he has held since 2007. Rosenblatt is also a member of Ren-isac, Infraguard, NYECTF and other organizations that he can neither confirm nor deny the existence of.
