Current Position and Past Experience
Jennifer Gigliotti is currently the Executive Director of the Center for College Readiness and the Associate Dean of Rice University’s Suzanne M Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. Dr. Gigliotti is responsible for the design of innovative professional development models for teachers and establishes partnerships with local school districts to design customized professional development programs to meet specific district needs. Additionally, she provides leadership to the Rice Teacher Education program which offers both teacher certification as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching. Her previous experience includes secondary teaching in a Houston area public school.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Gigliotti holds a BA in psychology and history and a MEd in secondary social studies education from The Ohio State University, and an EdD in curriculum and instruction from the University of Houston. She was recognized by the Rice University Board of Trustees for Outstanding Contributions to the University and Community, September, 2011, and is the 2011 recipient of the Adelle F Robertson Continuing Professional Educator Award, presented by the University Professional Continuing Education Association.
