Current Position and Past Experience
Di Xu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at UC Irvine. She also serves as a Research Affiliate with the Community College Research Center (CCRC).

Prior to taking on her teaching role, Xu served as a Research Associate at the CCRC within Columbia University’s Teachers College.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Xu earned her BA in English Literature from Peking University. She has earned two MAs, one in Sociology and Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College and the other in Applied Linguistics from the University of Cambridge. She earned her PhD in Economics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
