Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2004, Dayle Thorpe has been the Director of Academic and Professional Programs within the Division of Continuing and Professional Studies at the University of Delaware. Prior to this, Thorpe spent three years as the Director for the Center for Professional Education at Boston University. This followed her four years as the Director of the Professional MBA Program at the University of Tennessee.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Thorpe earned her BS and MS from Florida State University. She earned her MBA from Mercer University’s Stetson School of Business and Economics. She earned her PhD in Marketing from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s College of Business Administration.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Dayle is Treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic Region of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association. She lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, Steve Thorpe, law librarian at the Drexel Law Center Library in Philadelphia. They enjoy exploring the sites and treasures in the Delaware Valley as well as traveling internationally.
