Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2008, D. Bruce Dearing has been the Lead Instructor and Assessment Coordinator for a college-wide assessment process aimed at increasing student learning and success at San Joaquin Valley College. In this role, he coordinates learning assessment at more than five campus locations across California.

Prior to this, Dearing worked as the Superintendent of Respiratory Care Services at the Riyadh Military Hospital from 1998 to 2007. From 1989-1993 Dearing was the Critical Care Coordinator at the BC Children’s Hospital.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Dearing earned his Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from Loma Linda University in 1982. In 2007 he earned his Master’s degree in Training and Performance Management from the University of Leicester.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Dearing leads events like the Rancho Cordova 5K Vent Race & Health Fair which raises money for underprivileged and educates the public about breathing health.
