Current Position and Past Experience
Bill Gaskill is the director of International Programs and the American Language Center (ALC) at the UCLA Extension. From 1981 to 1988, he served as academic coordinator of the ALC academic IEP, and from 1988 to 1995, he was director of the American Language Institute at San Diego State University; he returned to UCLA Extension in 1995.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Gaskill has a PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCLA and holds master’s degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from UCLA and German Language & Literature from the University of Kansas.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Gaskill has studied in Germany, lived in Iran, and traveled to many countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
