Current Position and Past Experience
Since 1996, Tom Fisher has served as a Dean at the University of Minnesota, where he is also a Professor in the School of Architecture. Prior to taking on this role, Fisher was the Editorial Director of Progressive Architecture for over 14 years.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Fisher earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Cornell University in 1975. He earned his Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1980.

As the fifth most published writer about architecture in the United States, he has written 7 books, 44 book chapters or introductions, and over 325 articles in professional journals and major publications. He is also heavily involved on professional and community boards.
