Tom Castle | Dean of Adult Programs, Mount Mercy University

Current Position and Past Experience
Since 1990, Tom Castle has been at Mount Mercy University. In addition to his teaching role as an Associate Professor of Business, Castle serves as the Dean of Adult Accelerated Programs and as the Interim Assistant Provost of the University.

Prior to this, Castle served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Iowa, and worked as a marketing consultant.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Castle received the Mount Mercy Faculty Service Award in 2004 and an Advertising Federation Star of the Month Award in 2006. He is the recipient of a Sam M. Walton Fellow award for Mount Mercy SIFE, and he helped guide the team to 13 consecutive regional championships and four national tournament placements. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Iowa.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Castle volunteers his time to community and campus organizations and he regularly conducts market research for non-profit organizations. He has also earned a black belt in tae kwon do.
