Current Position and Past Experience
Todd Rinehart is Vice Chancellor for Enrollment at the University of Denver, a position he has held since June, 2017. Prior to taking on his current role, Rinehart served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Director of Admission since 2004. Rinehart leads the university’s departments of Admission and Financial Aid, and has helped elevate the university’s undergraduate reputation with unprecedented growth in enrollment, academic quality and diversity. He oversees a team that is committed to inclusive excellence, college access, student-centric service, and ethical and transparent processes.
Rinehart is a noted speaker at local, regional and national conferences, covering key issues related to enrollment management, college admission and ethical practices. He also has chaired two national committees for NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counselling), the national Admission Practices committee, and the Steering Committee for Admission Practices charged with re-writing the association’s Code of Ethics.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Todd Rinehart holds an M.Ed. in Athletic Administration and a B.S. in Secondary Education - History from Bowling Green State University.
In 2017, Rinehart was honored with RMACAC’s highest award for service to the profession: The Roger Campbell Award. In 2018, Rinehart was honored by PCACAC with the John A. Blackburn Award for ethics in college admission. Later that same year, NACAC honored Rinehart and the Steering Committee he chaired with the Margaret E. Addis Award for service to the association and commitment to ethical practices.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
In his free time, Rinehart enjoys all things Colorado: skiing, golfing, hiking, running, and biking with his family! He is also an avid gymnastics fan, supporting his wife who coaches the nationally-ranked varsity team at University of Denver.
