Current Position and Past Experience
Stephen Gill is an independent consultant and has been a member of the Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees since 2005. As a consultant, Gill evaluates training and development programs and helps organizations increase the impact of their learning interventions.
Gill has held a number of consultancy positions, with Advantage Performance Group, United Training Services, and Formative Evaluation Research Associates—a company he part-owned.
Prior to consulting, Gill was an Assistant Professor with the University of Michigan’s School of Education. This position came on the heels of the year Gill spent as a guidance and counseling lecturer with the University of Wisconsin’s School of Education.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Gill earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1969. He earned his MA in Counselor Education in 1974 from Northwestern University, where he returned to complete his PhD in Counseling Psychology in 1976.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
In addition to serving on the WCC Board of Trustees, Gill is a member of the executive committee of the Washtenaw Community College Foundation Board.
