Current Position and Past Experience
Stephen Cucchiara serves as Director of Student Activities and Community Service at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, a position he has held since October, 2016. In this capacity, Cucchiara directs the student activities program at the university, which is comprised of over 200 activities including single day, weekend, off-campus, commuter, non-traditional, residential, tradition weeks, concerts and speakers. He also leads the university’s community service and civig engagement program within the Department of Student Life and Leadership.
Prior to taking on his current role, Cucchiara was Assistant Director of the Office of Student Activities at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. In this role, Cucchiara oversaw the student activities office, working with members of the student staff to provide a diverse schedule of entertaining and educational programs throughout the academic year.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Cucchiara earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2008. In 2010, he earned his Master of Arts in higher Education/Post-Secondary Administration.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Stephen is involved in the National Association for Campus Activities and serves as the Conference Logistics Coordinator. He presents regionally and nationally on student activities programming trends and ideas. His philosophy is to ensure that programs and activities are 100% student driven. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys running, camping, playing ice hockey, and cooking.
