Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2013, Sean Tierney has served as a Strategy Associate with Lumina Foundation. Prior to this, Tierney was a Policy and Research Analyst with the Maryland Higher Education Commission. This followed two years as the Assistant Director of Fiscal Policy with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Tierney earned his BA in Economics, English and Sociology from Vanderbilt University in 2009. In 2011, he earned his MPP in Higher Education Policy from the same institution.
