Ryan Torma is the Executive Director of Professional Development and Lifelong Learning at the University of Minnesota. Torma joined the University of Minnesota in 2019 after 3 years as Assistant Dean of Online, Distance, Adult and Continuing Education at Valparaiso University.
Torma has also held leadership positions at Trinity Lutheran College and at the Luther Seminary.

Torma earned his BA from the University of Minnesota, his MA from the Luther Seminary and his EdD in Higher Education Leadership from Bethel University, where his research explored design thinking as an approach to solving complex problems in higher education. Torma also holds a Graduate Certificate in Private College Leadership from the University of Minnesota.
