Current Position and Past Experience
Richard Gayle is a former Mathematics Professor, retired from Black Hills State University in 2012 after 14 years of service.
Prior to this, Dr. Gayle was an Assistant Professor at Montana State University-Northern.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Dr. Gayle completed his PhD at the University of Oregon in 1993, MA at the University of Washington in 1993, and BA at the University of California, Berkeley in 1980, all in mathematics.
He has completed a certificate in Data Analysis from Coursera. In the 2002-3 academic year he completed an NSF supported post-doc in Biostatistics at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Gayle's non-professional pursuits include hiking, cycling, rock climbing and surfing.
