Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2003, Pat Spadafora has been the Director of the Sheridan Elder Research Center at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. Prior to this, Spadafora taught in and coordinated the Social Service Worker Program at Sheridan. She also taught in and was the founding Coordinator of the Social Service Worker-Gerontology Program.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Spadafora has a Master’s in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Wilfrid Laurier University and over thirty-five years of experience in the social work and education fields.
In 2002, Ms. Spadafora received the national “Leadership Excellence” award, presented by the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC).
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Spadafora is a member of a number of committees related to the field of aging. She has been invited as a guest lecturer and workshop leader at many local, national and international meetings and conferences.
Spadafora currently lives in Ancaster, Ontario with her family.
