Current Position and Past Experience
Novadean Watson-Stone is the Program Director for the American Public University System’s Graduate and Undergraduate Information Technology Programs. She has held this position since 2007. She has taught computer related courses at several universities and technical college for over 15 years. Watson-Stone was also the Assistant Director of the Information Technology Department at the Academic Instructor School and the founder and general manager of Computer Care LLC.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Watson-Stone received an Associate’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland University College. She earned a second Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. Watson-Stone holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. She was awarded her DBA in Information Systems from Argosy University, with her dissertation focusing on Information Security Awareness and Use.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
She is the founder of and advisor for the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) student chapter at American Public University Systems and she currently owns and manages a retail store and rental properties in several states.
