Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2012, Mika Hoffman has been the Executive Director of the Center for Educational Measurement at Excelsior College. Prior to this, Hoffman spent eleven years at the Department of Defense Language Institute’s Foreign Language Center, seven of which she served as the Dean of Test Development. For nine years prior to this, Hoffman was an Assessment Specialist with the Educational Testing Service.

Education, Honors and Achievements
In 1986, Hoffman earned her BA in Linguistics and French from Swarthmore College. She followed that up in 1991 with a PhD in Linguistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2008, Hoffman earned her MA in Teaching of Foreign Language from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
