Current Position and Past Experience
Michael Carrell is the Assistant Provost and the Director of the Office of Military and Veterans Services at The Ohio State University.

Prior to this, Carrell worked for the University’s Veterans Resources in the Undergraduate Education department and as a Professor and Department Chair.

Carrell served in the United States Air Force as Colonel for 23 years, retiring in 2011.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Carrell completed his BS from Penn State University in 1987. In 1997, he received his M.Ed. from Chapman University. In 2000, he earned his MA from the U.S. Naval War College. He then received his MA from the U.S. Air Force School of Advanced Airpower Studies in 2001. Finally, he completed a Senior Post-Graduate Fellowship at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2006.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Mike enjoys spending time with his family and dog, travelling and exploring, movies, and finding/trying new restaurants
