Current Position and Past Experience
Maureen MacDonald is currently the Dean of the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto, a position she took on in 2017. This followed nine years as Dean of Continuing Studies at the University of Victoria. For 15 years prior to joining UVic, MacDonald served as the Director of Continuing Education at the University of Manitoba.

Before entering higher education, MacDonald was a consultant for KPMG Advisory and she practiced law in Manitoba.

Education, Honors and Achievements
MacDonald earned her BA in Sociology from the University of Manitoba in 1980, and her Juris Doctor in 1983. She earned her MBA from McGill University in 1987. In 2007, she earned her PhD from the University of North Dakota. MacDonald is also a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and has taught courses in human resource management, supervisory management, and law using face-to-face, blended and online delivery formats.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
MacDonald was on the Executive of the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education for six years including a term as President. She has served on the Board of a number of not-for-profit organizations and presents regularly at national conferences.
