Marty Bennett | Director of International Admissions and Services, University of Findlay

Current Position and Past Experience
Marty Bennett currently serves as the Director of International Admissions and Services at the University of Findlay. He has recently served as a Global Social Media Consultant for the British Council.

Before joining Findlay, Bennett was a Strategic Enrollment Consultant for CollegeWeekLive and, for five years prior to that, served as the first EducationUSA Outreach Coordinator for the Institute of International Education.

Bennett has supported global outreach and access efforts at a number of institutions over the course of his career, including Ball State University, Saint Mary’s College and Marquette University.

Bennett also served as Chair and Treasurer of the Destination Indiana Steering Committee and a Member of the CIS Committee for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Bennett earned his B.A. with honors in Political Science and History and his M.A. in History from Marquette University.

Bennett was awarded for Outstanding Contributions to International Enrollment Management by NAFSA in 2014 and, in 2010, he won the Special Appreciation Award from CEAIE-AASCU Sino-American 1+2+1 Dual Degree Program.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Since 1996, Bennett has volunteered his time to NAFSA: Association of International Educators, holding a number of positions including Region VI RAP Rep and Coach for Academy IV, and as a member of NAFSA’s Embassy Dialogue Committee. Bennett has also volunteered with the Council of International Schools and Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership.
