Lorraine Prinsky | Past President of the Board of Trustees, Coast Community College District

Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2008, Lorraine Prinsky has served as an Elected Board Member on the Coast Community College District and current serves as the Board Clerk CCCD’s Board of Trustees. She was the President of the Board for the 2012-2013 term, and has been a Trustee since 2008.

For 38 years, Prinsky served as a Professor at CSU Fullerton, where she has been honored with Emeritus status. While at CSUF, Prinsky served as a Member and Chairperson of the President’s Scholars Selection Committee.

Prinsky serves as a mediator for Orange County Human Relations and Community Service Programs in Orange County Small Claims Court.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Prinsky earned her BA from UCLA and her PhD from UC Irvine.

In 2012, Prinsky was awarded the National Women’s Political Caucus Jeannette Rankin Courage to Run Award. She was a nominee for the 2012 Association of Community College Trustees’ Leadership Award.

She won a number of awards from CSUF, including Outstanding Faculty Recognition for Service to the University and Outstanding Faculty Recognition for Creating Substantive Learning Opportunities for Students in the Community that Coincide with Classroom Instruction. She also earned the CSUF Humanities and Social Sciences Award for Outstanding Service and Contributions to Student Success, and the CSUF Meritorious Performance and Professional Promise Award

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Prinsky serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Leadership and has been a Girl Scout leader for 10 years. She also serves as a Bolsa Chica Land Trust Docent.
