Current Position and Past Experience
Linda Glessner is the Executive Director for Continuing & Innovative Education, University of Texas-Austin. Glessner has 20+ years of corporate experience in product development, public outreach, strategic marketing, organizational planning and leadership development. Over the past two decades, she has been an accomplished advisor to industry, public schools, non-profit volunteer organizations and higher education and has been a liaison for such organizations as Center for Reform of School Systems, Halliburton and Toyota.
Glessner has received several nominations and appointments: Ambassador-elect, Points of Light Foundation; The White House, Business Advisor for Governor Bush’s Lone Star Leaders initiative; Ambassador, San Antonio Rotary Club to France; Chair, Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce – Forward San Antonio III; Business Advisor, Governor’s Statewide Education Initiatives on Volunteerism Taskforce; Chair, Futures & Markets Commission, UPCEA and Chair, University of Texas Academic Deans Issues Forum.
She has held numerous board positions for local non-profit organizations, chambers, businesses and schools. She also serves as a member of the Executive Advisory Board –Workforce and Economic Development for Advent GX, an experiential think tank for entrepreneurism. She has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Lecturer for several universities in such disciplines as Business Management, Ethics and Organizational Behavior.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Glessner earned her BSc from Kansas State University in 1983. She earned her MA in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1993. In 2000, she earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from Texas A&M.

Glessner is actively involved in the community as a partnership consultant for schools, businesses and civic organizations.
