Current Position and Past Experience
Katie Carpen is currently Associate Dean of Business at Southern New Hampshire University, and joined in 2012. She acted as adjunct faculty, faculty lead, subject matter expert and consultant before transitioning to her current position.

Carpen has 18 years’ combined experience in consulting, higher education, recruitment, and mortgage finance industries. Prior to her current position at SNHU, Carpen was the director of institutional research and coordinator of planning at SUNY Jamestown Community College. She’s served as a thought leader at Viral Solutions, a full-service marketing agency, since 2014.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Carpen earned her PhD in Organizations and Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Capella University, along with her MBA in Organizational Leadership and BA in Law and the Liberal Arts from The University of Findlay. She is certified by the Institute for Social and Emotional Intelligence in Social and Emotional Intelligence Coaching.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Carpen enjoys gardening, traveling, yoga, and meditation.
