Current Position and Past Experience
Karen is an accomplished and dynamic education executive with experience in designing and leading strategic, high-impact learning by leveraging digital technologies. With expertise in employee development, needs analysis and change management, she leads Hartman’s Education practice, working alongside education executives to provide strategic IT and leadership advisory, and management services to improve an entity’s performance and achieve goals.
Prior to joining the Hartman team, Karen was the Dean of the Division of Online Learning at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where she oversaw a $9 million dollar budget and a team of more than 40 employees. Before UNC Greensboro, Karen led a successful reorganization of three departments as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the College of Professional Studies at Syracuse University.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Bull holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation from Syracuse University. She also has a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of Maine, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Allegheny College.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Karen loves to create homemade cards to share handmade kindness. She also enjoys reading, yoga, baking and spending time with her family.
