Current Position and Past Experience
Julie spent twenty years as an academic, most recently twelve years at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. She left her academic position in 2008 to dedicate herself to full-time writing and remains committed to the sector.

Her specialties include website copy, video scripts, white papers, and authority web content for universities and colleges. She can also provide advice on website usability, social media strategies, and search engine optimization.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Julie earned her BA in Politics from the University of Washington and completed a PhD in Politics at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.

She won a Fulbright Lectureship to Finland in 1996, and an award for teaching excellence from the University of Canterbury in 2001.
