Current Position and Past Experience
Josué Fernández is currently the lead consultant and president of Martlet LLC, a management consulting firm in Henderson, KY, specializing in Talent Management and Employee Performance Improvement.

Prior to this, Fernández was the Employee Development Leader at SABIC Innovative Plastics and, before that, Manager of Technical Training and Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he had previously also been a Manager of Instructional Design. This came on the heels of his time as a Training Specialist on a Pilot Team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. Fernández has also held Training Manager or Trainer positions at Schering-Plough, Accuride Corporation and Assembléon (Philips Electronics).

Fernández got his start in Training & Development during his 11 years in the US Air Force where his career culminated as an Education & Training Specialist.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Fernández earned an AAS in Avionics Systems Technology and another in Education and Instruction Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. In 1993 he earned his BS in Vocational Education Studies from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He continues the pursuit of advanced education in multiple arenas related to human performance in industry.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Fernández co-founded the Posey Outreach for Workforce Education Resources (POWER) council in 2008. POWER is a consortium of business and civic organizations in Posey County, Indiana aiming to building education and training capacities of the region by partnering with employers, educational institutions and community services.
