Current Position and Past Experience
John Makevich is currently Dean of Continuing and Community Education at MiraCosta College. Prior, he was served at College of the Canyons. Some of his roles included Dean of the School of Personal and Professional Learning, and Special Project Director of Adult Education Programs.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Makevich earned his BS from the University of California, San Diego in 1998. In 2000, he completed his MS at the University of Arizona.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
John Makevich has deep interests in studying weather and climate, radio and television, and of course online education. He likes to spend his free time hiking and traveling, both domestic and abroad.
