Current Position and Past Experience
John Enamait is currently President of Stanly Community College and has been in this role since 2016. Prior to his role SCC, Dr. Enamait served as Vice President of Instruction at Edgecombe Community College in Tarboro, NC. He also served as Dean of the School of Business, Industry, and Technology at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, NC. Dr. Enamait started his educational career at his alma mater, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, where he served a faculty member of Information Systems and Business Administration.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Dr. Enamait received a Ph.D. in Technology Management with a Digital Communications specialization from Indiana State University. Additionally, he earned an MBA and B.S. from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. Dr. Enamait holds an A.A.S. degree from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in Hudson, NC.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Dr. Enamait is active within his community, as chair-elect of the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce, member of the Stanly County Economic Development Commission and the Albemarle Rotary Club. Dr. Enamait sits on the board for the Southern Association of Colleges with Associate Degrees. He is a member of the Commission on Public Relations Advocacy and Advancement (AACC), and the NC Association of Community College Presidents where he serves as Chair of the Personnel and Professional Development Committee. Dr. Enamait is also active with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, having chaired two on-site Reaffirmation Committees and served as an on-site reaffirmation team member for six SACSCOC Committees.
