Current Position and Past Experience
Jodie Sperico is currently Chief of Alumni and Employer Engagement at Long Island University. Prior, she was Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Adelphi Fund at Adelphi University in NY and has been with the institution since 2017. Prior, she was Senior Director of Alumni Relations at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University for five years and Director of Alumni Relations at the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC for seven. Sperico began her career as the Senior Volunteer Relations Coordinator at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Education, Honors and Achievements
Sperico holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Hofstra University and a bachelor of arts in Speech Communications from Ithaca College.
She has been named to EverTrue’s inaugural 40 Under 40 list for fundraising leaders and was presented with the 2020 Executive Circle Award from Long Island Business News for senior level executives who consistently demonstrate remarkable leadership skills, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, community service and diversity.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Sperico serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professional's Long Island Chapter and has been a Judge Coordinator for the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for several years. Most recently, she joined CASE’s District II Opportunity and Inclusion Committee to strengthen institution’s relationship with diverse alumni and donor populations.
She is a lifelong animal shelter volunteer and happily caters to her own 100lb Rottweiler mix who is always snoring or looking for snacks.
