Current Position and Past Experience
Jill Wakefield has been Chancellor of the Seattle Colleges District since 2009. Prior to that, she served for five years as President of South Seattle College.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Wakefield earned her Associate’s Degree from Centralia College. She went on to receive a B.Ed from Central Washington University, followed by an MA from the University of Washington in. In 1992, she received her EdD from Seattle University.

In 2012, Wakefield was listed as one of Seattle Magazine’s Most Influential People. She has also been named as a Woman of Influence by the Puget Sound Business School as well as Communicator of the Year by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
