Current Position and Past Experience
Eloy Ortiz Oakley is currently the President of Colleges Future Foundations. Prior he was the Chancellor of California Community Colleges and on the board of Regents for the University of California.

Prior to being named Chancellor , Oakley was Superintendent-President of Long Beach City College for 10 years. From 2002-2006, Oakley served as the Executive Vice President of Administrative Services at Long Beach City College. He also served as Vice President of College Services at Oxnard College.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Oakley is a community college success story. He attended Golden West College before transferring to UC Irvine. He earned a BA and MBA from UC Irvine.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Oakley serves on the boards and committees of the University of California Board of Regents, the Fair Shake Commission, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, the California Forward Leadership Council, the College Futures Foundation of California, the American Association of Community Colleges, the American Council of Education, the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and the Long Beach Rotary Club. He sits on the advisory board for the CSULB Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership. He is the proud father of four children and two grandchildren.
