Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2009, Darlene Brown has been the Budget Manager for the Technology Services department at Prince George’s Community College where she manages the fiscal operational budget of $20 million and the day-to-day allocation for all technology acquisitions and contract approval.
Ms. Brown concurrently serves as the Founder and CEO of Divine Empowerment, where she provides keynote addresses and facilitates empowerment workshops and seminars to bring about positive belief systems for others. Her focus is assisting others to transform their thinking ultimately transforming their life and living with constant peace, joy and a sense of purpose.
Ms. Brown has over 25 years of professional experience and embraces the principle of transformational leader.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Ms. Brown earned her Bachelor of Applied Science from Strayer University in 1995. She is a certified Life Coach from IPEC Coaching Institute. Ms. Brown is a certified workshop trainer for the Yale Curriculum “Coping with Work and Family Stress: A Workplace Preventive Intervention”
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Ms. Brown provides weekly life-skills development training for men and women from September thru June each year for the Prince George’s County Health Department at Adams House. Ms. Brown serves as an Officer of the Board for Global Women Peace Foundation, a 501c non-profit that provides intervention for women nationally and in third world countries.
