Current Position and Past Experience
Chris Rasmussen is currently Senior Director of Academic Pathways and Innovation at the Colorado Department of Higher Education. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver. Prior, he was a vice president for the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, and for the Midwestern Higher Education Compact

Education, Honors and Achievements
Rasmussen holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy in Higher Education from the University of Michigan. He also has a Master of Science from Minnesota State University at Mankato and a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Rasmussen is a former local elected official in Maryland where he was also active in College Park area community organizations, including Hope Lutheran Church and the University of Maryland Alumni Association. In Colorado he enjoys the outdoors, mostly from the vantage point of restaurant patios and beer gardens, with the occasional hike on trails in and around Denver.
