Current Position and Past Experience
Chris Evason has served as the Managing Director of International Education Services since setting the company up in 1998. Prior to IES, Chris worked in both Europe and Australia in a variety of positions including as a Science teacher, an ESL teacher and in various senior administrative roles within education.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Chris studied at the University of Nottingham in the UK and gained an honors degree in Chemistry and subsequently completed a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education at King’s College, London University. He also holds qualifications in company directorship from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Diploma of Management from Victoria University and formal qualifications in ESL teaching.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
He was on the National Board of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) from 2006-2008 and plays an active part in the wider international education industry, speaking at conferences and workshops regarding the benefits of a more professional workforce in the industry and the impact of technology in education more broadly.

Outside of work, Chris is also a keen musician who plays piano and percussion.
