Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Cheryl Hayek is Special Advisor to the President and Provost Emerita at Grantham University. She is also President of LPF Services.

Hayek served as Interim President and Provost of Grantham University for four years, and before that as Grantham’s Vice President of Faculty and the Student Experience. For more than 25 years, she has dedicated her career to innovative program development focused on outcomes and accountability.

Hayek is known for creating the Visible, Immediate, Proactive and Personal (VIP2) Faculty Development and Leadership Program as well as the Swaddled Support Services (SSS) retention model for adult learners. From 1996-2012, Hayek served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at William Paterson University. Following this, she was an Assistant Principle for the Summer Program and a Spanish Teacher at Rockaway Township Board of Education.

Hayek volunteers her time as a Manuscript Journal Reviewer, a Site Visitor for the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and a Member of the Online Learning Consortium Awards Committee.

Hayek enjoys sharing her research within the higher education community with the hope that together, we can make a difference, one student and one institution at a time.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Hayek earned her B.A. in Spanish and English from Montclair State University and her M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administration from William Paterson University. She earned her Ed.D. from Northcentral University.

Hayek holds certificates from the State of New Jersey in English and Spanish instruction, as well as certificates certifying her as a Supervisor and as a Principal. Hayek also earned a Master Prior Learning Assessor Certificate from CAEL, a DEAC Accreditation Site Reviewer from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission and a Predictive Index Analyst certificate from the Predictive Index.

Because of Hayek’s work on VIP2 and SSS programs, Grantham University won the 2011 Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities Innovative Best Practice/New Program Award.
