Cheryl Delk-Le Good | Executive Director, EnglishUSA

Current Position and Past Experience
Cheryl Delk-Le Good is the Executive Director of EnglishUSA. She took over as Executive Director of the professional membership association, which serves over 450 accredited intensive English programs across the United States, in August 2015.

Delk-Le Good joined EnglishUSA after 12 years as the Director of the Intensive English Program at Georgia State University. Prior to coming to Atlanta in 2000, she served on the faculty in the CELCIS program at Western Michigan University.

Delk-Le Good also has extensive leadership experience in the field including service as a commissioner for the Commission on English Language Accreditation (CEA) and as the IEP Network Leader for the International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community for NAFSA (IEM KC). She also served on the boards of EnglishUSA and University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP). In addition to her leadership experience, she is a frequent presenter, has authored two ESL textbooks, and has conducted multiple program and curriculum reviews nationally and internationally.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Delk-Le Good earned her BAs from Illinois Wesleyan University in French and English. She went on to earned an MA in French Language and Literature at Michigan State University, where she stayed to earn a second MA in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of the office, Delk-Le Good enjoys golfing on a women’s league and with her husband on the weekends. For the past 7 years, she has participated in a chef’s club—testing out appetizer, cocktail, entrée and dessert recipes in ‘friendly’ monthly competitions with a group of 8 friends.
