Current Position and Past Experience
Carolyn Heinrich is the Director of the Center for Health and Social Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. She is also a Professor Public Affairs and Economics at the University.
Prior to this, Heinrich was a Professor and Director of the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also served as an Assistant Professor with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Heinrich holds a BA from Beloit College and a MA and PhD from the University of Chicago. In 2004, she received the David N. Kershaw Award for distinguished contributions to the field of public policy analysis and management, and in 2010, she was elected to the National Academy of Public Administration.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Heinrich likes to volunteer at the local animal shelter and enjoy the beauty of nature on long walks.
