Current Position and Past Experience
Boyd Knosp is the Associate Dean for Information Technology at the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine. Boyd is also the Associate Director of Informatics Operations at the University of Iowa Institute for Clinical and Translational Science, and is the current Chair of the Steering committee for the AAMC Group on Information Resources

Prior to this, Knosp was the co-founder and co-lead of the Health Science IT Constituent Group at EDUCAUSE and a faculty member with the AAMC Group on Information Resources Leadership Institute. He has also held positions as the Manager of ITS Research Services at the University of Iowa

Education, Honors and Achievements
Knosp received his BS from the University of Iowa in 1983. In 1984, he completed his MS, also at the University of Iowa.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work Boyd is passionate about his family (father of 7), is an avid bicyclist (5-time RAGBRAI rider) and enjoys sampling craft beer.
