Bhupesh Shah | Social Media Program Coordinator, Seneca College
Since 2009, Bhupesh Shah has been a Professor at Seneca College and is now also the Coordinator of the Social Media Program in the School of Marketing. Shah concurrently serves as the Owner of ethnicomm Inc., a marketing, sales and web strategy consultancy he started in 1995.
Shah previously served for six years as the Director of Marketing at Kärcher Canada, two years as a Group Product Manager at Clorox Canada and for seven years prior to that as the Marketing Manager and Buyer at the Canadian Tire Corporation.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Shah earned his BSc from the University of Toronto at Scarborough in Microbiology and Biochemistry. In 1990, he earned his MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business. He is a contributing author of Marketing: Real People, Real Choices, 4th Canadian edition and a recipient of the McGraw-Hill Ryerson Innovation in Teaching Award 2010.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of marketing, Shah has a passion for playing bass guitar and giving back to the community. He is an advisor on the Richmond Hill Small Business Centre and the Cultural Leadership Council and an advisory board member of The International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association (HETL).
