Current Position and Past Experience
Barbara Wright is an independent higher education consultant. From 2005-2015, Wright served as a Vice President of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College and University Commission.

Prior to joining WASC, she served as a faculty member in German at the University of Connecticut and also worked as an assessment coordinator at Eastern Connecticut State University.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Wright received her BA from Trinity College (DC) and went on to complete her MA from Middlebury College. She earned her PhD from UC Berkeley.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Wright enjoys gardening, kayaking, hiking and bird watching, especially at the Rhode Island seashore.
