Current Position and Past Experience
Andrew Afton Lawrence is completing his doctoral dissertation in Global Leadership and Organizational Management and is leading theories on executive leadership and technology innovation. He is formerly the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Computer Systems Institute (CSI)--a multi-state institution with six campuses across two states, Massachusetts and Illinois. CSI serves 2,500-3,000 F-1 visa international students in 21 immersive academic programs. He has online faculty experience as well as administrative experience as a Course Content Specialist, Director of Online Programs, and Associate Vice President for Online and Distance Education at Bluefield College. He has worked with the Online Learning Consortium and International Leadership Association to advance the learning practices of leadership in education.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Andrew Afton Lawrence is completing his Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Organizational Management from Indiana Tech. He holds an M.A. in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University and a B.A. in Humanities with a Specialization in English from Bluefield State College. He also holds a certificate in Academic Leadership from Baylor University.


He was named an Elliott Masie 30 Under Thirty @ Learning in 2013 and was an honored guest and session leader/contributor for a Pecha Kucha presentation entitled "Where is Learning Going?" in 2013. In 2014, he was an Elliott Maisie 30 Under Thirty @ Learning Mentor. He was named a 2020 Emerging Research Scholar and 2022 Leadership Academy Education Intern for the International Leadership Association for his research on executive leadership and testing systems. He has been inducted into the Golden Key Club and Alpha Chi Honor Societies for his exceptional academic work.
