Current Position and Past Experience
Zoë Cohen is an Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine Tucson, at the University of Arizona. Teaching undergraduate, graduate and medical students, Cohen recently became the discipline director for physiology in the medical school at Tucson.

Constantly using new techniques and strategies to increase student engagement and learning, Cohen developed the first fully online course in immunology at the University of Arizona, and adapted her upper division physiology of the immune system course for delivery in the University of Arizona’s new Collaborative Learning Space.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Cohen holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Ph.D. in Physiological Sciences from the University of Arizona. She did postdoctoral work in platelet and red blood cell physiology with the Canadian Blood Services and at the University of Arizona. She is a faculty advisor for the Physiology Club, the American Medical Student Association – Undergraduate Chapter, UNICEF, and the Future Health Leaders Alliance. She has won teaching awards on both the undergraduate and medical campuses.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
When not working, Cohen can be found road or mountain biking, or trying to lift heavy weights at her local Cross-fit gym.
