Current Position and Past Experience
Susan Martin is the Associate Director of the Center for Women in Technology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She has held this position since 2010.

Prior to this, Martin was a Career Advisor and Assessment Coordinator in the Division of Student Affiars at UMBC. She also served as a Research Assistant at The George Washington University and as the Coordinator of the RENEW program at Carroll Community College.

She is passionate about creating intentional opportunities for undergraduate students to define and achieve their goals - especially women, first generation and other underrepresented groups in engineering and computing.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Martin earned a B.S. at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1985. In 1990, she completed her M.A. at the University of Maryland College Park. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University.
