Current Position and Past Experience
Susan Brennan is the Associate Vice President for University Career Services at Bentley University. She has over 20 years of experience managing career development and employer outreach programs in higher education.
Brennan started at Bentley University in 2003 as an Alumni Career Services Manager and then moved to Director of Undergraduate Career Services. She also held the positions as the Managing Director of University Career Services and the Executive Director of Corporate Relations and Career Services. Prior to joining Bentley University, Brennan worked as a Development professional at The Children’s Museum in Boston and Columbia University in New York City. She also served as a Management Consultant with the Hay Group global consultancy before transitioning to Career Services leadership as the Director of MBA Career Services at Hult International Business School.
Brennan is a regular contributor to

Bloomberg Radio and a featured career expert in major media outlets like the
New York Times, Wall Street Journal and
Chronicle of Higher Education, to name a few.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Brennan earned her BA in History and Minor in Marketing and English from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Ed.M in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. In addition, she earned her MBA in Management from Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business, where she received the Roger Babson Award for outstanding scholarship, leadership and service to the school and the Babson-United Investment Advisors Award for outstanding management consulting project.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Brennan serves on the Board of Directors, College, for the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and enjoys her roles as Committee advisor, mentor, and blog author. She is a passionate Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, as well as certified in Myers Brigg Type Indicator and CareerLeader assessment tools. She is a current member of the New England Board of Higher Education Commission on Higher Education and Employability.
She has been married for almost 24 years to Michael, who is both a Judge and a recreational chef, and they are the proud parents of two college age sons.
